Key Details
1. Senior Mine Geologist
Job Description: The Senior Mine Geologist will oversee all underground mine geology activities, providing high-level geological expertise to support mine planning, resource development, and grade control. You will be responsible for optimizing ore extraction, ensuring the accuracy of geological data, and driving ongoing geological modeling efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of geologists and technicians.
- Implement and manage grade control programs to optimize ore recovery.
- Drive mine geological model development for ore extraction efficiency.
- Deliver regular geological reports (daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly).
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and the application of industry best practices.
- Plan and follow-up on department budgets.
- Collaborate with the mining team to incorporate geological insights into mine planning.
- Ensure drilling productivity meets safety and budget forecasts.
- Provide training and mentorship for junior staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in mine geology (senior-level experience preferred).
- Knowledge of mineral resource estimation and reconciliation methodologies.
- Strong background in resource modeling, grade control, and geological mapping.
- Proficiency in geological modeling software and data management.
- Proven leadership and safety management skills.

2. Senior Mine Accountant (Cost Chartered)
Job Description: The Senior Mine Accountant will support the commercial stewardship of the mine through detailed financial reporting and analysis. You will oversee the accounting department’s activities, ensuring that all expenditures are within the approved budget and providing critical insights for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise accounting department activities and staff.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts.
- Monitor operational results, capital expenditures, and budget variances.
- Provide cost control reports and undertake variance analysis.
- Evaluate capital projects and assist in cost performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with tax advisors.
- Support the development of long-term financial goals for the organization.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Must hold CPA(T) certification and be registered with the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally in mining or cost-focused environments.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and experience with Tally is an advantage.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
