Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.V (VcA) is a Germany based NGO, and a part of the international Viva con Agua Family; consisting of a network of individuals and organizations seeking to increase access to clean and safe drinking water and basic sanitation for all. We are, thus, a constructive community of people and organisations joyfully committed to a common vision: Water for All- All for Water. Viva con Agua in partnership with technical partner ENVSOL Tanzania and Mbulu district & town councils, are implementing Catching clouds project in selected schools of Mbulu District, Tanzania for a period 2023-2025. The main objective of the project is to improve the school learning environment through the provision of adequate WASH facilities in selected schools of Mbulu district (urban & rural). The project intervention primarily provides the access to safe drinking water through FogNets and rainwater harvesting systems, improved sanitation, and hygiene facilities. Hardware measures are complemented by Viva con Agua’s Universal Languages for Behaviour Change (UL4BC) approach, for which we use the universal languages arts, music and sports to transfer knowledge and trigger positive and lasting behaviour change. Viva con Agua plans to support three schools with safely managed WASH services. VcA, therefore, invites the best offers from all eligible construction companies in Tanzania with proven experience in delivering the works below.

Tanzanian eligible companies can request by sending a ‘BID DOCUMENTS REQUEST’ to: procurement@vivaconagua.org, until 26 January 2024. A bidder requesting documents MUST indicate ‘BID DOCUMENTS REQUEST VCA/TZA/2023-02’ in the email subject.

1. Requirements

Bidders are required to submit their bids with the following documents.

• Certificate of registration and Powers of attorney
• Company profile with a record of similar contracts/projects
• Current Trading License
• Original Income tax clearance addressed to Viva con Agua
• Company bank account and certified bank statement (over the last 1 year).
• Certified Audited Financial reports for 2021, 2022, and 2023.
• A nominated Contract Manager with powers of attorney to execute the project. The contract manager MUST sign all submitted CVs of staff.
• Name, address, physical, location, and telephone contacts of the company.
• A bank reference letter addressed to the Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.V.

2. Offer presentation.

• The offers shall be ONLY delivered by email to [email protected] or a  Dropbox link provided in email and addressed to the VIVA CON AGUA. Offers MUST be submitted in only two (2) PDF files: Technical Proposal and Financial offer, clearly indicating Reference No. VCA/TZA/2023-02-<Name of the company> in the email subject. Bids not conforming to tender specifications shall not be accepted.
• The deadline for the submission of offers is Friday, February 02, 2024, at 11:00 pm EAT. Late bids shall be rejected.
• A mandatory pre-bid site inspection shall be done. The pre-bid site inspection certificate and the list of beneficiary intervention schools shall be shared with the bid documents. The contact persons for the pre-bid site inspection shall be the Headteachers who shall sign and stamp the inspection certificates.
