NECTA’s Role in Standardized Education

Since its establishment in 1973, NECTA has set high standards in administering exams across Tanzania. It was founded to centralize the management of examinations after Tanzania’s withdrawal from the East African Examinations Council in 1971, allowing students to benefit from a curriculum tailored to local educational objectives.

Today, NECTA continues to be a central part of Tanzanian education, employing over 350 individuals dedicated to assessing students fairly.

Congratulations to all Standard Seven students who completed the PSLE, and to the parents and educators who supported them. For additional questions, visit the NECTA website, and stay tuned for further updates on secondary placements.
