About Us

The entity is a private limited company registered and incorporated in 2010 as GROUND LEVEL INVESTMENTS LIMITED, running a thriving enterprise dealing with medium scale poultry (layers and broilers), Poultry feeds production and distribution, selling of Animal feeds raw materials and providing Animal feeds milling services to other poultry farmers. The company also undertake training on poultry in particular for beginners mostly women and youth.

The poultry farm started as a backyard household farm for both broiler and layers poultry keeping business in 1993. In 2010 when the GROUND LEVEL INVESTMENTS LIMITED, was registered, the company took over all the backyard farm activities. In 2011 the company started the feed milling production to support the poultry farm, however, due to market demands the company started selling feeds to outsiders until the production grew and feed milling stood as an independent line. To date the company carries the following major activities;

1. Poultry Feeds production for company own poultry farm and selling to various poultry farmers within Dar es Salaam and Coast region. The feed goes in the market with the registered brand name ‘’ MAMAKUKU
2. Poultry Farm that includes,
   1. Layers farm with the capacity to accommodate more than 20,000 layers chicks. Layers farm activities includes; egg production, packaging, branding and distribution of poultry eggs. The eggs go in the market with the brand name ‘’MAMAEGG’’
   2. Broilers Poultry farm involving broiler chick rearing and selling to wholesalers and within the Company’s established retailing channels in two forms,
      1. Slaughtered, packed and branded and go to the market with the brand name ‘’MAMACHICK’’
      2. Live birds sold to Dar es Salaam popular local markets
   3. Selling of animal feeds raw material, raw or processed.
   4. Milling service for animal feeds.

Over a period of time the company has managed to establish retail outlets for its branded and packed poultry products (Eggs and Chicks) in different areas around the city of Dar es Salaam
