WAREHOUSE & MACHINE OPERATOR JOB VACANCY (AGRONOMY)

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Ensure clean working environment.
2. Ensure worker safety at work premises. Make sure the proper safety equipment is worn by you and your team including welding masks and helmets.
3. Report any case of injuries to the Country Manager and HR office.
4. Fabricate, install, commission and repair fixed/movable machinery at the plant.
5. Operate seed processing machines to process and package seeds efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines and quality standards.
6. Set up machines to process specific seed varieties as they are scheduled, ensuring accurate adjustments for each batch.
7. Maintain detailed records of materials used during production, machine settings, processing times, and other relevant data. Accurate record-keeping is essential for quality control and traceability.
8. Ensure high quality of workmanship in all work done.
9. Label all machinery.
10. Maintain an upkeep file for all machinery.
11. Maintain written maintenance schedule for all machines in their respective files and ensure the schedules are followed.
12. Adhere to timelines and report any setbacks/delays immediately to your supervisor
13. Maintain a list of tools.
14. Ensure the tools are used properly by self and team.
15. Account for all tools/parts that fall under the plant mechanics team.
16. Bring to the immediate attention of the Country Manager the theft/loss/damage to any tools, machinery or materials of the company.
17. Any breakdown on any machine must be recorded and brought to the attention of your supervisor.
18. Training machine operators and advising the processing team on machine usage issues.
19. Prepare a work plan/schedule every day or on a periodic basis. On completion specify achievements and shortfalls and give reasons for the same (challenges).

Any other duties assigned in writing or verbal from your supervisor.
