About Us

CSP is a membership-based organization comprising of individuals from various regions across Tanzania. The organization was formed with the shared goal of promoting equity and equality among all Tanzanian citizens, regardless of their social or economic status. It was officially established and registered in early 2007, becoming fully operational in the same year. However, in 2019, CSP underwent necessary structural and legal adjustments to comply with amendments made to the NGO Act, leading to its re-registration in accordance with the updated legal requirements. Today, CSP is registered under NGOs Act with reg No 00NGO/00010158.

The adjustments and amendments made to the organization were also a strategic response to the growing demand and urgent needs expressed by communities, particularly in addressing challenges related to the protection of vulnerable groups. These vulnerable groups included the youth, women, children, persons with disabilities, and the elderly, at the community level. The changes further strengthened the confidence among members that the organization was well-positioned to effectively fulfill its mission. As a result, CSP is now better equipped to serve its purpose, laying a strong foundation for building a better future and promoting the welfare and socio-economic development of marginalized individuals and communities across the country.
