FORUMCC is a Non-Governmental Organization focusing on climate change; as an entry point for economic growth and development in Tanzania. It strives to achieve climate-proofed policies and practices – using an evidencebased approach to influence policies and accelerate adaption and mitigation actions to achieve a low carbon pathway and address climate change vulnerability. At the Regional level, FORUMCC is a member of the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA), a coalition of civil society organizations from African countries.
FORUMCC provides a platform for over 70 diverse member organizations committed to working on climate change issues in 20 regions in Tanzania. FORUMCC works at local, National, Regional and global levels – to promote climate change mitigation and adaptation inclusive policies, and lasting solutions to climate change vulnerability. Our approach is to work with members and/or through members to effectively achieve organizational goals – from the lowest level of vulnerable communities, and practitioners – to the highest level in decision making.
