Position Summary:
The Junior Behavioral Researcher, part of APOPO’s Innovation Team, will support research activities involving African giant pouched rats (Cricetomys ansorgei). This includes research planning, odor sample preparation, data collection, and analysis, as well as rat training, handling, and feeding.
Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Animal Science or related field with a minimum GPA of 3.5
- General computer skills: typing, email, and software management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Prior research experience and experience with statistical analysis software
