Position: Agricultural Drone Operator

JUMLA AFRICA is looking for an experienced Agricultural Drone Operator to support precision farming operations through efficient and safe drone spraying and pest control activities. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience with drone equipment, agricultural practices, and a strong commitment to safety and performance standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Operate agricultural drones for spraying and pest control applications.
2. Calibrate, inspect, and maintain drone equipment regularly to guarantee optimal performance, reliability, and compliance with safety standards.
3. Collaborate with agronomists, field officers, and operations teams to plan drone activities.
4. Ensure safe handling and storage of drones related accessories to prevent damage and maintain operational readiness.
5. Keep accurate records of drone flights, maintenance activities, and equipment usage reports.
6. Train and support other staff on drone operation and troubleshooting and field safety practices.
7. Provide training, guidance, and technical support to other staff on drone operation, troubleshooting, and field safety practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor, Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in agricultural in “drone operations”
3. Strong technical skills for drone operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
4. Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills to coordinate with agronomists, field officers, and operations teams
5. Flexible to relocate or travel across regions for operational duties.
