🏭 About the Function: Supply Chain and Manufacturing
The Supply Chain and Manufacturing team sources, produces, and delivers Diageo’s brands globally. Over half of Diageo’s 30,000+ people work in this function, managing complex operations across 100 sites in over 30 countries. The team is dedicated to achieving the ‘Society 2030: Spirit of Progress’ goals, focusing on environmental protection and supporting farmers and suppliers.
About the Role
As an Electrical Technician in Mwanza, you will apply technical, process, and continuous improvement skills to optimize overall brewery performance. You will be responsible for maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring safety compliance, and driving the Manufacturing Management Systems (MMS) at the shift level.

- Safety & Culture:
- Strictly adhere to Occupational Health and Safety standards and site safety procedures.
- Model safe behavior and actively challenge and correct unsafe practices.
- Equipment Operation & Maintenance:
- Provide comprehensive production services, including operating, cleaning, and maintaining assigned equipment.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and monitor plant performance daily.
- Planned Maintenance:
- Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules to maximize equipment availability and operational efficiency.
- Utility Resources Management:
- Ensure adequate water storage for brewery operations.
- Accurately monitor and log key equipment parameters (e.g., temperature, pressure, current, voltage).
- Continuous Improvement & Teamwork:
- Apply MMS principles and support the Utilities Engineer in meeting production targets.
- Collaborate with colleagues during troubleshooting and participate in training and development activities.
🎓 Qualifications and Experience Required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operations, maintenance, process control, and performance measurement.
- Background in a brewery, beverage, or food manufacturing environment is essential.
