 About the Function: Supply Chain and Manufacturing

The Supply Chain and Manufacturing team is responsible for sourcing, producing, and delivering brands globally. This complex operation covers production facilities, supplier relationships, and logistics across 100 sites in over 30 countries. The team is committed to realizing Diageo’s ‘Society 2030: Spirit of Progress’ goals to protect the environment and support partners.

Key Role Responsibilities

The primary focus of this role is to ensure safety compliance, maintain real-time system accuracy of inventory, and conduct effective physical stock management.

1. Safety and Supervision

• Maintain the safety agenda and standards within the working environment, strictly adhering to Diageo Safety Standards.
• Ensure all warehousing operations are performed safely, preventing accidents/Lost Time Accidents (LTAs).
• Supervise cleaners, ensuring the warehouse is clean and the cleanness schedule is followed.
• Supervise loaders and off-loaders, enforcing correct handling practices.

2. Inventory and System Accuracy

• Ensure that inbound and outbound inventory postings in SAP/WMS occur real-time and are supported by the correct documentation.
• The system inventory records must always reflect the actual stock on the ground.
• System Posting: Update appropriate systems (SAP/TMS/WMS) with accurate document information on time.

3. Verification and Reconciliation

• Conduct System Reconciliations daily, ensuring system records are supported by the correct source documents.
• Clearly supervise loading and offloading exercises and perform quantity verification upon completion.
• Conduct Physical Count of Stocks available in the warehouse, accurately reporting the actual counted figures, supported by count sheets.

Qualifications

• A minimum of Diploma in a relevant field.

Experience

• A minimum of 3 years working experience in a related, operations, or inventory management role.

Skills

• Computer literate (essential for SAP/WMS/TMS use).
• Ability to work under agreed timelines and priorities.
• Good communicator, commercially astute (acumen), and able to adapt to a fast-changing operations environment.
