1. MERL Coordinator

    • Reports to: Head of MERL (with dotted line to Program Implementation Area Manager)

Job Description:
The MERL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning) Coordinator will play a key role in overseeing technical MERL initiatives across all projects in the Southern Programme Implementation Area (PIA). This position ensures the quality of monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities for grants and sponsorship-funded projects, including Gender and Girls’ Empowerment (GGE) and other initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate MERL activities, including system implementation and program quality monitoring.
    • Lead project evaluations, studies, assessments, and budgeting processes.
    • Support research, data consolidation, and dissemination of results for innovative programming.
    • Develop and implement M&E frameworks and plans for Southern PIA.
    • Ensure ethical standards, including safeguarding, are upheld in all MERL activities.
    • Manage qualitative and quantitative data analysis and reporting using PMERL systems.

Eligibility Criteria:

    • Relevant qualifications in monitoring and evaluation, social sciences, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in MERL, preferably in development or humanitarian projects.
    • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with data management tools.

Job Description:
The Intervention Specialist will support the implementation of program activities across three regions under their zonal assignment, with a special focus on gender and girls’ education. This role is part of the Shule Bora initiative, aimed at enhancing school improvement and achieving program outcomes in collaboration with regional governments.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Support planning, implementation, and monitoring of program interventions.
    • Provide technical expertise in gender and girls’ education across the assigned zone.
    • Collaborate with regional and district stakeholders to deliver interventions.
    • Assist in achieving disbursement-linked results under EPforR II.
    • Work closely with the Programme Regional Coordinator and technical leads.

Eligibility Criteria:

    • Degree in education, gender studies, social sciences, or a related field.
    • Experience in program implementation, ideally in education or gender-focused projects.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with government counterparts and diverse teams.
    • Passion for advancing girls’ rights and inclusive education.
