- JOB SUMMARY.
Preparation of asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
- POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Maintaining accurate and update records of financial transactions.
- Recording, classifying and summarizing financial transactions and events in accordance with accepted local accounting principal and financial reporting standards.
- Advising and assisting management in the compilation and control of company budget.
- Advising on improvement of financial management system and internal control system.
- Analyzing, vouching and verifying all retirements from the general staff Members and post to the system.
- Record keeping and arrangements for bookkeeping.
- Assist on preparing and filling statutory returns.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts and general ledgers.
- Other duties may assign by supervisor
- EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree majoring in accounting or its equivalent.
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant.
- 1-3 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting.
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Knowledge of Tax laws and regulations.
- Knowledge in Computer System and Applications, mainly Quick book.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial closing for monthly, quarterly and yearly closing accurately and timely manner
- Monitor petty cash and staff reimbursement
- Monitor and forecast cash flow positions for business operation
- Control tax, corporate income tax, WHT, VAT, import duty and other related legal matters
- Coordinate with external auditor, Revenue department and Customs department
- Give advice on tax & legal issues to management and coordinate with outsources consultants
- Trains assigned fund accounting staff in mutual fund accounting and their responsibilities
- Manage the finance and accounting functions to provide financial reporting and corporate planning
- Supervise and provide training to subordinates on finance and accounting functions
- Become familiar with the role of all key players in the reconciliation process and gain a detailed understanding of all processes within these teams which impact the timely resolution of reconciliation items
- Manage all accounting transactions
- Prepare budget forecasts
- Publish financial statements in time
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure timely bank payments
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
Proven experience in finance, Accounting and Auditing, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
Effective communication and leadership skills. Must be conversant in accounting package especially Quick books, cost conscious person etc.
Experience of more than 5 years working in Accounting or Finance Department
