3 Job Vacancies at Farm of Dreams Lodge – Karatu, Arusha

We are seeking responsible and experienced individuals to fill the following positions:

Position: Marketing Officer (1 post)
Reporting to: Director

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Become well versed with the company profile, products, and capabilities.

2. Conduct market research to identify customer needs.

3. Research and identify potential opportunities for the company.

4. Assist in organizing and participating in industry trade shows and exhibitions.

5. Provide administrative support including budget tracking and coordination of marketing materials.

6. Visit identified companies/clients and introduce them to Farm of Dreams Lodge.

Education and Qualification:

• Minimum of diploma in sales and marketing, business administration, or any other related field from a recognized college.

• 1-2 years of relevant marketing experience.

• Must have presentation skills.

• Must have negotiation skills.

• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

• Willingness to travel to attend industry events and trade shows.

• Must have strong organizational skills and attention to details.

• Ability to work under pressure.

• Observe relevant health and safety standards.

• Cooperate with the rest of the staff.

• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Position: Maintenance Officer (1 post)
Reporting to: Operation Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Daily inspection of the lodge to ensure it meets safety standards.

2. Supervise all maintenance activities.

3. Find ways to reduce maintenance costs in the lodge.

4. Communicate with operation manager about all maintenance issues in the lodge.

5. Attend the morning briefing every day.

6. Arrange for routine maintenance in lodge rooms, kitchen, offices, etc.

7. Make sure all company properties (e.g., generator, laundry machines, water pumps) are in good condition.

8. Assist in inventory.

9. Prepare and submit daily maintenance reports to the management.

10. Any other assigned duties from the management.

Education and Qualification:

• Minimum experience of 5 years in maintenance activities.

• Must have certificates or diploma of maintenance from VETA or from any recognized college.

• Strong knowledge of various machines and equipment.

• Must have knowledge of electrical (3 phase) and plumbing.

• Must have the age of 25-40.

Position: Receptionist (1 post)
Reporting to: Reception Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome all guests, assist them with check-in, check-out, and maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.

• Participate in the room inspection before the check-in of guests.

• Answer all company phone calls, both internal and external.

• Build strong relationships and liaise with all other departments.

• Resolve customer issues, complaints, and problems in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service.

Education and Qualification:

• Education in hospitality or hotel industry.

• Good communication skills.

• Able to handle money.

• High level of personal hygiene.

• Polite and patient.

• Able to work as part of a team.

• Neat personal appearance.
