Client Solutions & Business Development Manager – Dar es Salaam/Hybrid

Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic Client Solutions & Business Development Manager to act as the vital link between our ambitious clients and our technical execution team. You will be the “face” of our projects, ensuring that complex ESG and Net Zero strategies are translated into actionable, high-value outcomes for our partners. In this dual-track role, you will manage existing client relationships to ensure project excellence while simultaneously identifying and securing new business opportunities to expand our impact in the carbon and ESG landscape.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Client Relationship & Project Bridge

• The Translator: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, translating their business needs into technical requirements for our execution team.

• Project Stewardship: Ensure the delivery of Net Zero and ESG strategies stays on schedule, meets quality standards, and aligns with the client’s corporate vision.

• Strategic Advisory: Guide clients through the complexities of carbon credit procurement and ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, TCFD, BRSR).

• Feedback Loop: Conduct regular check-ins to gather client feedback and relay technical constraints or opportunities back to the client.

Business Development & Growth

• Lead Generation: Proactively identify and engage potential clients who require Net Zero pathways or carbon consultancy.

• Pitching & Proposals: Lead the development of winning proposals, presentations, and RFP responses.

• Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of global carbon market trends and ESG regulatory changes to identify new service offerings for Kamal Sustainability.

• Revenue Management: Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets and manage the end-to-end sales cycle from initial outreach to contract signing.

Job Requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Business, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and the voluntary carbon market.
  • The “2 – 4 years of experience” Sweet Spot: Proven experience managing multi-stakeholder projects and a track record of successful business development/sales in the B2B space.
  • Ability to explain complex environmental data in a way that resonates with C-suite executives and Board members.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build financial business cases for sustainability investments.
