Human Resource Manager (Hospitality) – Arusha, Tanzania

Our client a leading provider of unforgettable African wilderness adventures that engage all the senses is looking for a Human Resource Manager for their main office as well as their lodges.

THE JOB

As the Human Resource Manager you will be required to ensure the company complies with employment laws, internal policies, and industry standards.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

  1. Creation and dissemination of information in an Employee HR Handbook which covers Policies and Procedures
  2. Maintain relationships with external employment agencies
  3. Keep abreast of government policies, procedures and regulations
  4. Keep abreast of and in touch with (health) insurance companies and other relevant organizations.
  5. Work closely with Management and HOD and Managers of all departments as the HR advisor
  6. Be a leader in engendering and growing a culture of mutual respect, team spirit and a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism
  7. Have a good knowledge of labour law -This is done through recruitment, to hire the right person for the right job
  8. Focus on development – relating to upskilling and education, counselling and coaching.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

The job holder should have the following qualifications.

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Psychology.
  2. At least 5 years’ relevant experience
  1. Experience with working in an international environment
  2. Experience in the Hospitality Industry
  3. Experience with assessing people
  4. Good teaching skills
  5. Methodical and systems driven.
