Position Details
This application is for a Shift Supervisor Position as we are expanding our operations and are looking to bring on new talent to our team. As an applicant you should have a good understanding on Safety/Food Processes, a good leadership, and good command of both Swahili and English languages. As a shift supervisor in the honey manufacturing company, your role involves overseeing daily activities during your shift of about 20 employees.
Key Responsibilities
1. Employee Supervision:
- Monitor daily employee performance and assign tasks to staff members.
- Evaluate staff performance and provide training when necessary.
- Act as a reference point for employees, ready to address any issues that arise.
2. Shift Management:
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
- Coordinate workflow and resolve problems.
- Oversee the progress of assigned tasks.
- Open up or close the facility at the start and end of the day.
3. Processing and Safety:
- Develop a processing plan for your shift.
- Preparing processing reports and take part in data/inventory management systems.
- Collaborate with the engineering department
- Prioritize safety by ensuring safety to all company properties during your shift.
- Train all personnel on the product quality standards required for our customers, and also on safety standards (such as OSHA regulations) to reduce hazards in the facility.
Physical Requirements and Others:
- The job requires manual labor so you should be in good physical condition.
- The ability to carry at least 30kg is always required.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate others to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software.
