Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Stock Manager to oversee and manage our inventory operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of stock management processes, including setting up and optimizing inventory systems to ensure the smooth movement of stock across the organization
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement stock management systems to track and monitor inventory levels effectively.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of stock to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct regular stock audits to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in inventory records.
- Analyze stock movement patterns to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to forecast stock requirements and place orders accordingly.
- Implement systems to streamline stock handling processes, including storage and distribution.
- Train and supervise staff involved in stock management activities.
- Monitor key metrics related to inventory performance and prepare reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in stock handling and storage.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in stock management, inventory control, or a related field.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and tools, with experience in system setup and optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and supervise staff effectively.
- Familiarity with wholesale or retail operations is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in stock management within the food wholesale or supermarket industry.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles and logistics processes.
- Certification in inventory management or supply chain management is an advantage.
- Responsible for managing store operations, including recording inventory, receiving stock, and issuing items according to orders.
- Must understand the principles of effectively organizing stock during receiving and issuing processes.
