1. Truck driver (70 posts)
- Location: Kilombero
- Contract type: Seasonal
- Requirements:
- Knowledge of road safety laws and regulations.
- Valid Class E driver’s license.
- Ability to read and write.
- Valid driver training certificate from a government-recognized institution.
- Advanced Industrial driver certificate (Class II).
- Minimum of 3 years’ truck driving experience.
- Age between 25 and 45 years.
- Willingness to work night shifts.
- Responsibilities:
- Transport sugarcane from fields to the factory.
- Operate trucks in accordance with driving expertise.
2. Civil technician (1 post)
- Location: Kilombero
- Employment type: Fixed Term Contract
- Job purpose: Maintenance of gravel roads and conditions.
- Minimum requirements:
- Diploma in civil engineering.
- 4 years’ experience in road construction, preferably gravel and earth roads.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Laws and Regulations.
- Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, QGIS).
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and environmental regulations.
- Valid driving license (Class A, A1, and D).
- Understanding of road survey is an added advantage.
- Key skills:
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and a proactive approach to innovative solutions.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, service manuals, and technical diagrams.
- Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of infrastructure such as roads, bridges, culverts, and water catchment systems.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Conduct site inspections, ensure adherence to client standards, and resolve onsite issues in collaboration with the team.
- Prepare detailed reports, proposals, and documentation for regulatory compliance and stakeholder review.
- Coordinate with the client in relation to road building operations.
3. Technician – Heavy equipment and machinery (11 posts)
- Location: Kilombero
- Employment type: Fixed Term Contract
- Job purpose: Maintains, modifies, installs, and repairs equipment and machinery.
- Minimum requirements:
- Diploma or certificate in mechanical engineering, diesel mechanics, or a related field from a recognized institution / Trade Test Certification (Grade I or Level III) in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Equipment Maintenance.
- Certification in hydraulics and heavy equipment systems is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance and repair of haulage tractors, haulage trucks, agricultural tractors, heavy equipment, and other diesel-powered machinery.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Laws and Regulations.
- Valid driving license Class E preferred.
- Key skills:
- Experience working with HVAC systems in heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and mechanical systems of sugarcane haulage equipment and heavy machinery.
- Strong understanding of fuel systems, turbochargers, exhaust systems, and cooling systems.
- Knowledge of CAN-bus systems, sensors, and automation systems in agricultural and heavy machinery.
- Understanding of safety standards and regulations.
- Knowledge of fire prevention and first aid procedures related to diesel mechanics.
- Soft skills:
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, strong communication, time management, decision-making, adaptability, and willingness to work overtime and in remote locations when required.
- Responsibilities:
- Ensure the fleet is maintained in the most cost-effective way by efficient ordering of spares and consumables.
- Ensure maximum availability of the fleet and least amount of downtime.
- Perform preventative maintenance as per manufacturer recommendations.
4. Auto electrician (5 posts)
- Location: Kilombero
- Employment type: Fixed Term Contract
- Job purpose: Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems of a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy.
- Minimum requirements:
- Certificate or Diploma in Auto Electrical Engineering / Trade Test Certification (Grade I or Level III) in Electrical or Automotive Electrical.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair of haulage tractors, haulage trucks, agricultural tractors, heavy equipment, and other automotive machinery.
- Valid driving license Class A, A1, and D preferred.
- Key skills:
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems in bulldozers, loaders, excavators, and other heavy-duty machinery.
- Familiarity with hydraulic components, transmission, and braking systems.
- Responsibilities:
- Diagnose electrical faults and perform repairs on vehicles.
- Perform testing on vehicle batteries, alternators, starters, and other electrical systems.
- Interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
- Keep accurate records of repairs and services performed.
5. Technician – Heavy duty truck (11 posts)
- Location: Kilombero
- Employment type: Fixed Term Contract
- Job purpose: Maintains, modifies, installs, and repairs equipment and vehicles.
- Minimum requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Engineering, Diesel Mechanics from a recognized institution / Certification (Grade I or Level III) in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
- Certification in hydraulics, braking systems, and heavy vehicle diagnostics is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Laws and Regulations.
- Valid driving license Class E, F, and G preferred.
- Key skills:
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical diagrams, service manuals, and technical schematics.
- Strong understanding of fuel injection systems, turbochargers, exhaust systems, and cooling systems.
- Knowledge of CAN-bus systems, sensors, and automation systems in modern trucks.
- Understanding of mechanical safety standards and roadworthiness regulations applicable in Tanzania.
- Hands-on experience with diesel engines, gearboxes, differentials, and braking systems.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in heavy-duty trucks.
- Familiarity with suspension systems, steering components, and troubleshooting.
- Soft skills:
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, strong communication, time management, decision-making, adaptability, and willingness to work overtime and in remote locations when required.
- Responsibilities:

- Minimum requirements:
- Advanced diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with fleet management systems.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Laws and Regulations.
- Valid driving license Class A, A1, and D preferred.
- Key skills:
- Strong ICT fundamentals.
- Computer literacy, networking basics, database knowledge, IT support aptitude, and cybersecurity awareness.
- Proficiency in software operations (real-time tracking, alerts, reporting) and understanding of telematics.
- Skilled in TMS operation (live view, playback), video analysis, event tagging, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to correlate data from both systems for comprehensive insights.
- Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), LAN/WAN concepts, and basic troubleshooting of network connectivity issues.
- Soft skills:
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, strong communication, time management, decision-making, adaptability, and willingness to work overtime and in remote locations when required.
- Responsibilities:
- Plan routes for haulage and yellow equipment operations.
- Optimize delivery schedules.
- Ensure compliance with regulations.
- Report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage relationships with drivers, operators, and clients.
- Ensure all drivers adhere to safety regulations, working hours, and other applicable rules and laws.
7. SHERQ coordinator (1 post)
- Location: Kilombero
- Employment type: Fixed Term Contract
- Job purpose: Responsible for implementing and monitoring safety protocols to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards across all operations.
- Minimum requirements:
- Degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or Risk and Assurance.
- SAMTRAC certificate / ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 implementation course.
- Certificates in HIRA, Accident Prevention, and Investigation.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act No. 5 of 2003, NEM Act 2004, Worker’s Compensation Act, and relevant standards.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Valid driving license (Class A, A1, and D).
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including report writing.
- Computer literacy.
- Willingness to work abnormal hours and holidays when required.
- Responsibilities:
- Support field operations with safety requirements.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, Safety, Health Regulations, and Standards.
- Develop procedures and plans to reduce employee risk.
- Conduct SHERQ trainings.
- Conduct monthly safety inspections.
- Perform accident or incident investigations.
- Participate in internal and external audits, logging, and tracking audit findings.
- Perform weekly and monthly reports.
- Log and control revision status of all procedures and maintain a document control register and the SHERQ electronic database.
- Implement, drive, and manage the SHERQ culture at the workplace.
