Reporting to: Community superintendent
Duration: Permanent
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the initiation and implementation of CSR projects.
- Develop, maintain, and update the Local Employment Plan in accordance with the Barrick CR Standard.
- Record and resolve grievances related to mine operations in line with Barrick’s policies and standards.
- Raise awareness of grievance mechanisms for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain, and update the Stakeholder Engagement Plan.
- Identify and address business-related community issues and evaluate alternative solutions to resolve or mitigate such problems.
- Coordinate community engagement, mediation, and consensus problem-solving.
- Contribute to a safe and effective working environment.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in social studies/Community Relations or a related field.
- Valid Tanzanian driving license and the ability to drive manual vehicles (Mandatory).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in community development and public relations in the mining or related industry.
- Must have 2-3 years of driving experience with no accident records (Manual Vehicle Driving and be willing to undergo) a driving test to demonstrate your skills.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent communication in English, both writing and verbal
- Knowledge of grievances or conflict resolution would be an added advantage.
- Computer literacy, including basic knowledge of MS Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Time management.
- Reporting and report writing.
- Documentation and document management.
- Facilitation and presentation skills

Reporting to: Maintenance Supervisor
Duration: Permanent
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enter fuel consumption data into Fuel database
- Create work orders (breakdown) print out for technicians to sign
- Confirm all your jobs (work order) every day after signed by technicians
- Organize parts for Underground and Surface Workshops
- Prepare mid shift report (Dayshift)
- Prepare running Down time report for end of shift handover
- Control Office Supplies
- Ensure component are cleaned, tagged and sent to store/component shop
- Work closely with Surface and Underground Supervisors to ensure efficiencies in workshop
- Prepare and record data from various other documents
- Update maintenance board
- Ensure safe work practices by attending compulsory safety courses and meetings.
- Sound computer and writing skills
- High standards in the use of Excel Spread sheets
- Ability to read and understand Machinery Manuals including Parts/Technical and Schematics
- Sound and correct understanding of equipment reliability and scheduling
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Ordinary secondary education
- Valid Tanzanian driving license
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Maintenance Planning/Scheduling
- Microsoft office experience essential and SAP experience preferred
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent communication in English, both writing and verbal
- Hazard identification and Risk assessment
- Mine health &Safety Act awareness
