How to Apply
Step 1: Go to the UDSM Online Application / Admission Portal

- Enter your Form Four details (First Name and Surname as per the certificate).
- Add your email address and mobile phone number.

- Select REGISTER AS UNDERGRADUATE to create your account.

- Full names as they appear on your secondary certificate.

Step 5: Pay the Application Fee

- Non-Tanzanians: $10
Tanzanian applicants will receive a payment reference number (control number) through the UDSM-OLAS platform. Payments can be made via mobile money services like M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, or Airtel Money.

Step 6: Enter Academic Qualifications

- Form IV and VI Direct Entry (NECTA Results):
- Select your educational level (O-Level/A-Level).
- Enter your index number and year of completion.
- If you have more sittings, click Add Sitting.
- Direct Entry Equivalent Applicants:
- Choose your academic level.
- Enter your index number and completion year.
- Upload your diploma certificates (in PDF format).
- Applicants with foreign certificates need an equivalency number from NECTA. Enter the equivalency number and year of completion.
Step 7: Choose Programs
You can select a minimum of three and a maximum of fifteen programs. Ensure that your career interests align with the programs you choose. After selecting your programs, UDSM will notify you via email regarding your application status. If you receive an offer, you must accept it to finalize your admission.
UDSM Postgraduate Online Application
For postgraduate applicants, the process is similar to the undergraduate application, with differences in required documents and fees. Local students pay an application fee of TZS 50,000, while foreign students pay TZS 120,000.

- Apply: Click the POSTGRADUATE tab and select REGISTRATION to create an account.
