About Us

DISABILITY RELIEF SERVICES (DRS) TANZANIA is a registered Non-Governmental Organization, established in 2008 with legal registration No. 00NGO/00002597 dated October 16, 2008. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the socio-economic conditions of vulnerable, marginalized, and deprived communities in refugee camps and host communities in Tanzania.DISABILITY RELIEF SERVICES (DRS) TANZANIA is a registered Non-Governmental Organization, established in 2008 with legal registration No. 00NGO/00002597 dated October 16, 2008. The majority of our projects, programs, and activities are centered around initiatives for People with Special Needs. We are dedicated to addressing their unique challenges and needs, striving to create inclusive opportunities and improve their quality of life through our efforts.

1. Social Protection Interventions for People with Special Needs

The social protection program focuses on providing support to people with special needs, as well as adolescent girls and young women.

2. Actions to End Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC)

The goal of this program is to create a safer and more just world for women and children by addressing and ending violence against them.

3. Economic Empowerment Activities

The economic empowerment program aims to provide people with the opportunities and resources they need to achieve sustainable growth and success.

4. Preventing Human Trafficking

The human trafficking prevention program works to protect the vulnerable and ensure their rights are respected.

5. Improving Health

The health program focuses on improving access to quality healthcare for all.
