Job Description: This role is all about amplifying Uwezo Tanzania’s voice by engaging with government entities and policymakers to shape policies in education, health, and community empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and execute advocacy campaigns to influence legislation and government policies.
    • Act as a bridge between Uwezo Tanzania and government agencies, elected officials, and policymakers.
    • Create briefing materials, fact sheets, and policy briefs for government stakeholders.
    • Represent Uwezo at public meetings and advocacy events.
    • Draft MoUs and secure permits for projects.
    • Monitor policies in education, health, science & technology, and community empowerment.
    • Maintain engaging content on Uwezo’s website and social media platforms.

Eligibility Criteria:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Mass Communication, or a related social science field.
    • At least 3 years of experience in government communications or advocacy.
    • Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Kiswahili.
    • Proficiency in traditional and social media, plus strong computer skills.
    • Awareness of child protection and safeguarding principles.

Special Skills: Policy engagement experience, diplomacy, and the ability to produce high-quality communication materials.


2. Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Consultant

Job Description: This role focuses on building a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to track and enhance the impact of Uwezo Tanzania’s projects.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Monitor project activities and progress toward goals.
    • Develop a Project Monitoring Plan (PMP) with clear indicators.
    • Conduct capacity assessments and provide technical assistance on M&E systems.
