NANNY / BABYSITTER WANTED – KILIMANJARO: Professional Childcare Opportunity
We are actively seeking a highly compassionate, professional, and experienced Nanny/Babysitter to provide dedicated care for our young child. This full-time position is based at our private family residence in the Kilimanjaro area. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment for our child’s development.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for this crucial role, applicants must meet all the following mandatory criteria:
- Gender and Age: Female.
- Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in spoken English to effectively communicate with the child and the parents, including reading and assisting with educational activities.
- Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years of proven, verifiable professional experience as a nanny, babysitter, teacher or in a similar professional childcare capacity. References will be thoroughly checked.
- Professional Presentation: Must be consistently smart, neat, and highly presentable. A tidy appearance and professional demeanor are expected at all times.
- Educational Background: Holder of a formal certificate in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Certification: Having a valid First Aid/CPR certificate for infants/children is a significant advantage and strongly preferred.
- Personal Attributes: Must be inherently responsible, trustworthy, punctual, and possess a genuine, demonstrable love for children.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DAILY DUTIES
The primary focus of this role is the safety, wellbeing, and developmental enrichment of the child. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Engagement and Play: Planning and executing creative, age-appropriate play, games, and engaging activities that foster development in a loving and safe manner.
- Nutrition and Mealtimes: Preparing healthy snacks and meals for the child and actively assisting with successful and positive mealtimes.
- Educational Support: Reading stories, engaging in early literacy and numeracy activities, and supporting general early learning milestones as guided by the parents.
- Safety and Supervision: Providing continuous, attentive supervision to the child at all times, both indoors and outdoors, to ensure absolute safety.
- Hygiene and Presentation: Ensuring the child is always clean, neat, well-dressed, and impeccably presented throughout the day. This includes changing, bathing, and maintaining their personal space.
- Flexibility: Demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach in undertaking all tasks related to the child’s comprehensive care and well-being as directed by the family.

- Place of Work: The family residence located in Kilimanjaro.
- Working Hours: To be discussed, but candidates must be prepared for full-time employment with flexible hours that accommodate the family’s schedule.
