Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and experienced Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring kitchen operations run smoothly, and delivering an exceptional dining experience. We value creativity, efficiency, and a strong passion for food.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes with a focus on Indian and Swahili cuisine.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Design and update menus that reflect authentic Indian and Swahili flavors.
  • Ensure meals are prepared and served to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and manage daily kitchen operations.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with all health and safety regulations.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Chef, with specialization in Indian and Swahili cuisine.
  • Certification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or Hotel Management is an added advantage.
  • Deep knowledge of traditional ingredients, spices, and cooking techniques from both cuisines.
  • Excellent culinary and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Flexible to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
