Organization Overview

Our Client is a private sector financial institution supporting banks with refinancing and pre-financing banks’ mortgage portfolios. It aims to rapidly increase its green financial capacity. Hence, our Client is looking for a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill in the Chief Executive Officer role.

Role Overview

The role holder will provide strategic leadership and oversee all aspects of the organization’s operations in alignment with its mission, vision, and goals. He/She will work closely with the Board of Directors to develop, and ensure successful implementation of the organization’s strategic plans, its long-term success and sustenance. He/She will also represent the organization externally, and promote a high-performance, accountable culture aligned with its mission and goals. The role holder will report to the Board of Directors.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the organization’s strategic direction, leading its long-term planning to drive sustainable growth.
  • Proactively identify emerging market trends and risks to guide informed strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure the organization’s compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards/policies.
  • Establish and maintain strong corporate governance through robust oversight, risk management, and control frameworks.
  • Provide strategic oversight of the organization’s core operations—finance, HR, IT, and administration.
  • Lead the senior management team to cultivate a collaborative, innovative, and accountable organizational culture.
  • Safeguard the organization’s regulatory integrity by staying abreast of legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and implement risk-mitigating policies to strengthen compliance and improve reporting transparency.
  • Serve as the organization’s primary ambassador and spokesperson to all stakeholders—including but not limited to government agencies, investors, partners, and the public.
  • Develop and execute effective communication strategies to elevate the organization’s brand and reputation, strengthen stakeholder relationships and engagement, and build public trust.
  • Strengthen the organization’s resilience by building a comprehensive risk management framework that identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks across all operational areas of the organization.
  • Actively monitor key risk indicators and implement proactive measures to address and minimize financial, operational, and reputational exposure.

Academic/Professional Qualifications and Experience

  • A master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • A relevant professional certification (such as CPA, CFA) is preferred.

Experience and Skills Requirements

  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant, progressive, and responsible work experience in the financial services industry.
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience at a Senior Executive Leadership role.
  • Proven track record of strategic leadership, corporate governance, and successful management of financial institutions.
  • Extensive experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, and corporate communication/public relations.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage finance, capital markets, and banking operations.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, inspiring high-performing teams.
  • Strategic foresight and analytical acumen, anticipating market shifts and making strong and informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, across all stakeholders.
  • Sound judgment, decision-making, and consistency.
