Civil Engineer – Construction & Lodge Projects at Mwiba Holdings Limited

Key Responsibilities;

• Coordinate, plan, and supervise all construction activities from design through execution and handover.
• Liaise with external contractors and consultants to ensure deliverables meet quality, time, and budget expectations.
• Negotiate contracts and monitor performance & timelines of third-party service providers
• Lead daily site activities where direct execution is required and supervise casual teams on-site to ensure workmanship quality and efficiency.
• Ensure proper implementation of safety standards and compliance with environmental and building regulations.
• Track project expenses and ensure cost-effective procurement of materials.
• Ensure all projects comply with local and environmental standards.

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 5+ years experience in construction project management, preferably in remote locations or lodge/hospitality-related environments.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• An advanced level of computer literacy .
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel/relocate to project sites.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural, decentralized work environment.
• Familiar with Tanzanian construction laws, OSHA requirements and labor practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients/customers.
• Flexibility – Have the ability to work through periods of high demand and ready to work on weekends
• Assertiveness, patience and good organizational skills.
• A highly self-motivated and ability to work independently as well as within a group
