JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT (On Behalf of the Employer)
Position: PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER (ALL SUBJECTS) – 3 POSITIONS
Duty Station: Dar es Salaam
Reports to: Head Master
Contract Type: Full-time, 12 months renewable
Start Date: As soon as possible

B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
✓ Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across all primary school subjects
including English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Civics, aligned with the
Tanzanian national curriculum.
✓ Design and implement lesson plans, schemes of work, assessments, and teaching
materials that meet learning objectives.
✓ Use learner-centered teaching methods, interactive activities, and differentiated
instruction to address diverse learning needs.
✓ Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that
supports student learning and well-being.
✓ Assess and track student progress, prepare reports, and provide feedback to
students and parents.
✓ Support students in developing critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and
communication skills.
✓ Prepare students for internal and national examinations by ensuring curriculum
coverage and academic readiness.
✓ Engage in co-curricular activities, clubs, and events to support students’ holistic
growth.
✓ Participate in departmental meetings, continuous professional development, and
school initiatives.
✓ Uphold classroom discipline, safeguarding policies, professional ethics, and
compliance with Tanzanian education regulations.
✓ Note: All fee collections must strictly follow the school's financial policies
(Segregation of duties, official receipts, daily banking, and reconciliation with the
Accounts/Finance Office). Any discrepancies must be reported immediately to the
Bursar/Head of School.
C. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
➢ Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Education from a recognized institution (teacher
registration preferred).
➢ Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching primary school level with proven student
learning outcomes.
➢ Strong knowledge of the Tanzanian primary curriculum and effective teaching
methodologies.
➢ Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with the ability to
inspire and motivate learners.
➢ High level of integrity, teamwork, and dedication to improving student learning
experiences.
➢ Ability to work collaboratively with parents, colleagues, and school leadership to
support learners’ development.
