Responsibilities

• Support drilling and blasting operations by preparing blast patterns, charging, and conducting pre- and post-blast inspections.
• Monitor and report on ground support installations, ventilation systems, and water management.
• Ensure all mining activities comply with safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and equipment operators to optimize production and minimize downtime.
• Participate in incident investigations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the implementation of daily underground mining plans and schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of shift activities, production data, and equipment usage.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Mining Engineer.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mining Engineering.
• Strong understanding of mining safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous experience in a mining environment is an added advantage.
